This isnt glory

Lyrics:
We lit up the sky just to feel alive,
Watched cities fall while we called it “right.”
But what’s a win when no one speaks?
Just burned-out homes and blood in the streets.

I’ve seen boys turn cold before their time,
Carrying rifles like it meant they’d survive.
I’ve seen leaders lie and mothers cry
for fuck sake, you must be proud.

This isn’t glory, it’s a graveyard in the making.
They sell us pride, but it’s always faking.
You think ending them means you’re strong?
Try laying down your rage and just move on.
Victory’s not in the ash or flame,
It’s in saying no when they beg you to aim.
We don’t need to end the world
Just to prove we’re not afraid.
Walking away isn’t weak,
It’s how real wars are unmade.

You can dress it in flags, call it defense,
But war is a con and we’re the expense.
The ground don’t care who bled for it,
It swallows names, then forgets.

We’ve killed enough to fill the void,
Turned sons into shadows, homes into noise.
You want a legacy? Here's the truth:
No one remembers who fired first.
Just who was left to dig through the ruin.

This isn’t justice, it’s just decay,
And the price is more than we can ever pay.
You think steel and fire make a man?
Then why’s every soldier just trying to stand?
The win isn’t death.
The win is stopping.
Not when they fall,
But when we stop dropping.
We don’t need to end the world
To feel like we were heard.
Walking away isn’t weakness,
It’s the last strong word.

It takes nothing to pull a trigger,
Takes everything not to.
Anyone can burn it all.
Only the broken know when to walk through.

No statues. No songs.
Just a place where war didn’t go on.
Call me a coward, call me soft,
But I’m still here.
And they’re not.
